>Anyways...
...I love you. More than I can handle. Weaver, you-
You were the one who made my dreams real! The only one!
You gave me hope! A reason to go on!
So, to hear that you're hurting inside...I can't just sit by. I can't leave you where I once was...
Let me in, Weaver. Let me share the warmth you gave me.
Let me fix your heart.
Please.

>Who are you? What should we know about you and your work?
My name is Inky. I've been drawing for about two decades now, and I want to continue to do so in an effort to improve. My main interests are comedic stories that can pull off serious or dramatic tones as well, and I strive to do things like that. People have told me my tales have an air of misery to them, so I guess that's kind of good? I try to err on the side of black comedy, but I know I don't quite hit it.
Other than that, I mostly draw things that I've been told are incredibly lewd, incredibly cute, or both. I like to dabble in a lot of things, provided they intrigue me.
>How long have you been here? What brought you to /trash/ or /co/?
I used to frequent 4chan back when it was pretty much just /b/ and an anime/hentai board, but stopped around late 2005. I came back around 2015 when I was summoned to /vg/ and I've been around here since.
I've only been going to /trash/ for a little over a year, and it was actually an Animal Crossing thread that brought me here oddly enough. I saw /ztg/ here a few months after I saw the movie, and lurked on and off for a while. Eventually I spotted a few familiar faces, saw people were doing worldbuilding, and got excited and wanted to join in.
I've only been to /co/ like three times.
>What is your association with other content creators? Have you collaborated with anyone?
I was actually surprised to discover a lot of people from other generals I went to hung out here as well after I started posting. Before that I only recognized Gud and Weaver, but they were also posting a lot around the time I popped in.
That said I've never really collaborated with anyone here on a project, but I'm not opposed to the idea, provided I wouldn't drag someone down. Sounds like it could be fun.
Hey, everyone!
I'm hoping to be able to re-shill my TT thing!

Synopsis: "Officer Nick Wilde's run in with the feisty guinea pig Andes Cavia put them both in a tricky sort of situation. Dealing with dastardly lawbreakers and other kinds of big city threats is one thing. Having to sort out species differences with your family and your friends is another."
I'm interested in going into Hopps family life, avoiding some of the usual stuff already done by other works, and also trying to write from the perspective of a little guy. We don't see that really that often. So why not?
Please take a look! This is lighter and fluffier than other stuff that I've done lately, so I crave any kind of feedback! Thanks!

>What is your favorite piece you've drawn? Which was the most fun to make? What character have you most enjoyed drawing?
For a while my favorite was the image of Clancy and Percy sitting together on a pile of pillows. It was fun to make, simple, but gave off the vibe I wanted despite it being a small drawing. The more I look at it, though, I've grown very fond of the one I'm gonna post here now, mostly because I don't cringe when looking back at it, and for me that's a sign that it's gonna look decent to me for a while.
Almost any time I draw Percy or Caitlin I have fun, honestly. They're both very simple designs and difficult to screw up, and both are easy to give exaggerated expressions to.
If we're talking characters that aren't my own, Gideon and Belwether are both fun to draw. Part of the reason I so sparingly draw canon characters is because I haven't found a 'fun' way to draw most of them, but I'll still try to whip out art of them by request because, well, I do like the characters.
Remmy and the aardwolf twins are also really fun to draw.
>>8469988
>Do you take requests, and if so what do you look for from anons? Are there any ‘dealbreakers’ that you’ll avoid/deny?
I like drawing other people's characters, because what drew me to participate was seeing everyone build the world around OCs. To me Judy and Nick's story was perfect, and only one that could be told in a world like Zootopia. I like seeing the community's version of worldbuilding, and I fell so in love with it I wanted to join in.
So usually if someone asks me to draw an OC or a Zoosona I will. I also look for any premise that sounds like it'd be either fun or interesting to draw. I also take requests for my own characters, obviously, but that's a combination of them being easy to draw, and fun to see what people want to see of them/try to interpret them.
I'm more likely to avoid canon because of the aformentioned 'less fun to draw' thing, but I don't completely dodge it, as I feel it'd be unfair and foolish to do so. Some people give me nice or interesting requests after all, and I want them to be happy too.
Mostly I only avoid a request if I don't think I can pull it off very well, or it's something that genuinely disinterests me. Nine out of ten times it's the former.
>>8470017
>Shorty Squad has seen a rise in popularity since their introduction; do you have a favorite character? What about the plethora of side characters? Any ideas for the future or new characters you'd like to discuss?
My favorite characters are actually Caitlin and Clancy, for a number of reasons. They're the two characters I 'relate' to the least, or see the least of myself in, and both have what I'd consider interesting personalities.
Clancy has a long, rough history despite being such a bad person, but instead of sympathizing with him I mostly hope people will just understand him instead. If that makes sense.
Meanwhile Caitlin has quite a few vices (some more apparent than others), but is still a pretty likeable, sociable, and generally fun to write. She's a lot like her brother, but at the same time the exact opposite. Makes sense, being family and all. That and she makes for great running gags in drawings.
A lot of the side characters I introduce are meant to have much smaller roles, but I'm usually impressed and flattered that the thread grows attached to them so quickly. Percy's mom may only be in one chapter, but the thread really seems to like her (for obvious reasons). I feel like people who are attached to side characters aren't going to be as happy in the story proper, but I try to compensate by drawing them on demand (or whenever I get an idea).
There are a few characters I haven't brought up due to lack of relevance, but I think I'm close to a point where there won't be many fresh faces. I say that, but I don't know for sure.
I guess I hope the characters we do focus on will get some theorizing and discussion in the future. That's always enjoyable to read. I've seen some interesting theories regarding the entire male cast as well as Maxine.

>Which TT has been your favorite? Which TT do you hope to see in the future?
I had a lot of fun during the Halloween one. I'd say that one was probably my favorite.
Actually, I think I really love the Holiday ones, even though I missed Christmas. Valentine's day was fun, and so was the teenagers one.
I like TTs that can bring in character development, or build Zootopia's world. I don't usually participate in the ancient history themed ones, but I do like reading and looking at what people submit for those.
>What is your favorite interpretation of Jack Savage? Cuck homewrecker? Cute bun for fox wife? Competent spy or bumbling fool? Why?
I like imagining him as a desk jockey that wants to be a secret agent. Maybe he hears about an odd case that came up dry, but is convinced there's more to it. He illegally steals a spy car/jet, destroys it, and has to rely on a repair fox who eventually drags herself along for the ride.
I think that's how I'd like it. I'm not really a big fan of Jack or Sky(e), but I think anyone can make them work.
I think I prefer the comedic Jack Reply tends to use, if we're talking general interpretations.
>(I'm legally obligated to include this last question for public safety purposes):
>In the past three months, have you at any time been approached by a strange antelope and, if so, did he threaten you with shears or attempt to coerce you into sexual acts of deviancy?
I'd answer this, but I'm afraid of what said antelope would do to me.
I mean, of COURSE not! What antelope would possibly try to coerce an already degenerate ungulate into deviant acts? That's ridiculous.
Besides, such an antelope would have to find me first.
Nah, I kid. Weaver's a cool dude.

Falke here reshilling. Didn't think that thread was already dying.
I left myself basically no time to write for TT, but I hope this thing I scraped together is comfy anyway.
>They’d put on a movie after dinner, but right now it wasn’t getting much attention from either of them.
>And now that Judy was using his chest as a pillow, he wasn’t sure if she was still watching. She looked a bit glassy-eyed when he glanced down. But he left her where she was, with his paw on her shoulder toward the crook of the couch.
>She did this sometimes, when she worked really hard not just for hours but for days at a time. She pushed herself - and him, for that matter - and refused to drop until they hit a natural stopping point. It probably wasn’t healthy.

What do you think I've been doing, Weav? It was the only way to survive.
Have no expectations, so you're never disappointed.

Yes! Expunge the --! You see, these little pests were vestiges of an ancient empire, the ones of the bi-browed empires. — Think of the people with unibrows, the ones who use an unbroken em-dash! Truly, these people deserve our utmost respect!
I have gone through and replaced the bi-brows with unibrows! Hopefully, you find this more pleasing to your eyes.

Those are all one-shots, just FYI. Timing and level of canon-compliance jumps around a bit. There is a timeline attached to some of them that lays applicable ones out in order. (I'd link it here but I'm not sure what trash does to gdocs links)

The way they refer to each other means they are barely acquainted, just like in the beginning of the movie.

Now, in terms of capital punishment: I'm guessing the decision goes to the prosecuting party, so I have a few questions. Lethal injection is great and all, but-- and this is more for my curiosity than anything-- what ARE Zootopia's laws on drawing and quartering? Yay? Nay? Is that on the table?
>>8471453
Welp, Mr ProfessorFox let his bun go out unsupervised. Hopefully the police will be nice enough to drive him back with just a warning to bully him harder.
I really thought we were getting through to him, the cardboard tubes, the coffee laced with aphrodisiacs, the Medieval bun history lessons... where did we go wrong?
>>8471473
You know the police know you're a dirty Blear killer right? If you get out of there untazed it will be a miracle.

Cute
It was a little weird that Nick would tell Kris- the otter that has invaded his personal space and shared everything with Judy- that he was crushing on Judy hardcore. Seems like the last person I would want to tell that I have I think their gossip partner is adorable.
The story was nice though; no one was out of character, and you managed to remember that Kris was a bitter yandere (for the lack of a better word). Well done, good submission.

Not sure! I'll probably be bunking with FoxyProf for a week or two, and after that I'll be looking for another couch to stay on! If you'd like, it could be yours!
Till then, I'm okay with staying with him. I mean, he does have weird habits like playing roleplaying games, but at least he's helpful when it comes to making characters. DnD isn't the WORST thing in the world, I guess...
>>8471674
I AM NOT GOING TO BED!!!
>>8471734
I'm portraying him as rather bitter and alone, yet more fancy-ish and reserved due to working those kinds of jobs where a certain tone gets put onto you. Not having friends or family in his life other than being connected to a Percy that's actually doing well. I don't know what to really say...
I guess it's that I don't want to push him to a point where he no longer acts and sounds "Hugh-y", you know? I think you may have read the specific thing I'm talking about.
>>8471734
Awww, just reminded myself that if Hugh was a bun and his papa left that cute momma would be raising a full dozen or more kids alone. I wonder how it would have gone... Hugh with people who love him, what an alien concept.
>>8471762
Oh that reminds me, what kinda bun bun did you make for his game anyway?
>>8471794
Hm.
Well, if I can speak mostly from what I've tried to establish in the story proper, Hugh isn't above lying. He does it often, in fact. Most of the time it's obvious and he does it for a joke, but that doesn't mean it's the only time he does it.
His way of speaking and overall demeanor is laid-back and very 'I don't care' even if his actions and tone sometimes indicate the contrary. It doesn't mean he doesn't care, but he doesn't want other people to worry, and likes to keep his negative feelings to himself. It's part of why he goes with the flow so often.
His way of speaking is also lax. He'll use conjunctions often, or even make some up here and there. Not with every single word, but often enough. Again I think he can do a professional way of speaking, but those may slip in here and there if that's the case. I had an example I posted before, but I can post them again if you'd like.
>Not having friends or family in his life other than being connected to a Percy that's actually doing well.
The problem with this is that Percy isn't his only friend. Definitely is CLOSEST friend, but he also has Maxine, Roxy, and to a lesser extent Percy's sister too.
There's also his mother, and Hugh's a huge momma's boy. You can shit on him as much as you want, but if you shit on his mom the gloves come off.
Basically a life without his mother isn't a life I can imagine him having, provided she hasn't passed on anyway. Maybe he doesn't live with her or even see her often, but she's definitely very important to him.
I think that's all I can say unless you're either more specific, or I'm able to read what you're working with, I'm afraid.
>>8471808
I'll try to provide more in the future. There's one I'm gonna start on tonight by request as well, in fact.
>All Weaver art is originally created in a multidimensional plane.
>We perceive it as un-colored because our brains wouldn't be able to handle the full spectrum of consciousness displayed
>Remember that Weaver's true form is an alien squid abomination
>>8471836
> Hugh with people who love him, what an alien concept.
I feel like Hugh with a bunch of siblings would make his life ten times better. I originally played with the idea his mother having a 'bad litter', but figured it was too dramatic and unnecessary to both his and her own backstory, so she just happened to have one kit.
Point is, a Hugh with siblings would have made for a happier Hugh.
Damn this really is the worst timeline.
>>8471918
>tfw you can't fit any more apps on your phone
This IS fucking amazing though. I'm gonna have to get my hands on it as soon as I can. Thanks anon!
>>8472075
I think you've looked at it before. Story is: http://archiveofourown.org/works/9917648?view_full_work=true
Chapter Five is when he comes in-- you can just skip to that.
I'm not sure what I should say either since there's stuff that I want to reveal only in fits and starts after this. Since you're his creator, though, I should probably run it all by you. My general idea is something like the follows.
SS and PS start off in the same timeline. With his mother going through a difficult illness that costs a lot, Hugh also deals with Percy's sister getting older in a way that draws more of Percy's attention (was thinking that she tries for something like serious artistic work, dancing/composing/etc). Hugh winds up working at more intellectual type clerical work that ties him even closer to Pack Street but beats him down emotionally, even as he sounds more 'standard college graduate-y'. His relationship with his mother kind of erodes over time since she can't be as active at all.
Percy steps in, though, and remains his lifeline to sanity. And Hugh keeps thinking about pursing a dream to just leave the Street, abandon legal-ish work, and hang out with Percy's sister when she works with the Zootopia Symphony Orchestra or whatever. But he actually does enjoy being a part of the overall government that does crack down on shitty mammals.
That make sense? I'm writing him a full decade after regular SS and PS events happen.
So I just found out about this
http://www.cartoonbrew.com/law/disney-slammed-zootopia-theft-lawsuit-t otal-recall-screenwriter-149552.htm l
What are the chances of this killing any hope for Zoot 2?
Translator-Anon here, just giving a heads up that I'm gonna be gone for the next day and a half, and although I might be able to quickly look at the threads, I won't really have time to translate anything til late Saturday night
Also wanted to thank everyone so far who's drawn stuff for my wife
I've shown her all of it and she nearly cried she was so happy
Like, for real, thank you all so much.
>>8472239
I can't see that eroding his relationship with his mother, is the big problem. If anything it would likely make him more clingy towards her, granted it would possibly be to her protest (and her boyfriend/husband as well, provided they're still together). Without this the mother problem I could easily see work wearing him down emotionally. That's not unrealistic at all, but I feel like if his mother has a legitimate problem that would be his top priority.
As for Caitlin, she's majoring in being a talent agent, so that could make sense if she's filling those sorts of shoes, but I can't see her as the artsy type. More an appreciator of it.
Percy being a lifeline to sanity also works. I was about to write an essay regarding Maxine, but I also know this is a PS story first and foremost, and the last thing I want to do is interfere with your vision.
I'm sure the thing with his mother could even work, especially if she has someone looking after her already, but I don't think his relationship with her would ever 'erode', I'm afraid.
They sort of are each other's world.
>>8472249
I think you just described Percy better than I ever could.
Serious talk.
Would you have Charlie as a girlfriend?
Would you have Marty as a boyfriend?
>>8472450
Is there that big of a gap between "I want to be around talent" and "I want to be the talent mammals are around"? They wouldn't seem inherently that far apart. But then, of course, Caitlin is your character. Maybe she works in an administrative capacity for a group like the ZSO, then?
I think "erodes" is a bad way to put it. Maybe something like "mutate"? He'd still love her, but she'd protest at him spending too much time with her if she's barely able to walk that far-- she'd say that he needs to get out there and try to help those bad guys as a legal clerk slash process server, maybe? And he's self-loathing that he can't do more for her. If that makes sense.
Sorry, it's just... a weird situation. I want to be able to do your characters justice. But then whatever I happen to write will have my kind of, I dunno, emotional fingerprints on it no matter what.
>>8472433
I'd bunish you but you already seem pretty damn bunished this thread. Stiff upper lip bun bun, time will pass and then you can get back to writing more medieval history papers.
>>8472465
Charlie? No, I think she's interesting but I feel she would be a very confusing partner, one who I would never be sure where I stood with.
Marty? If I could get past his ranting exterior? I think so. I wish we had more looks at him when he's not angry, I think we had one scene where he was generally looking out for his bro Ozzy... I think he's a decent person, I just wish we had more proof.
>>8472450
Percy is a true cutie, if only he was a badger he could be top tier.
>>8472579
I can seriously imagine that if a ram came to Pack Street without a bunch of preconceptions and just immediately welcomed Marty-- maybe even if we're talking a more touchy-feely, loopy kind of character that would be all emotional-- that Marty might be an immediate ally and not grouchy.
We've seen him through the lens of Remmy, and Marty appeared to immediately see Remmy as a kind of pompous pseudo-intellectual sparring partner. Everything about the ram pissed Marty off. You know?
>>8472559
Administrative capacity sounds more her thing. What Caitlin wants the most is to see others shine, and know she had a hand in doing it. If someone is successful because of her, that means she's happy.
Honestly, she probably took the job in hopes of one day helping her brother 'shine' too. At least I wouldn't doubt it.
If that makes sense
Yeah, I can see it working like that. I imagine she'd be on his mind a lot, though. Especially as a single man with no one else to distract him. Hugh doesn't like to focus on himself after all; he likes to put the attention on other people.
>Sorry, it's just... a weird situation. I want to be able to do your characters justice. But then whatever I happen to write will have my kind of, I dunno, emotional fingerprints on it no matter what.
It should have your fingerprints on it, though. You're a writer and you're writing it from your interpretation. It's good that you want to do them justice and I'm happy to tell you what I can, but in the end you can only work with what I give you. You seem to genuinely care about the characters, so as long as you're sincere and go on what you see/feels right, hopefully it'll all turn out fine.
It also would show how well/poorly I've been getting them across, if that makes sense.
>>8472586
I'd listen to him rant and rave about books, since listening to people talk about their passions is one of my favorite things in the world. I'd let him complain about my lack of reading and imagination, praise his intellect and way with words. I'd hold him in my arms and let him know I appreciate him and help him any way I can. He'd hopefully do the same for me.
Then I'd let him fuck my brains out.
Now that I've eaten dinner and had my fun, I'm going to go to bed-- PROPER!
TT was so much fun. The stories are amazing, the art is wonderful, everyone is putting forth a level of effort that's inspiring, and we're not going to talk about the thing that might have starred me-- we'll all just collectively agree to forget that ever happened.
Goodnight, magical and wonderful /ztp/ threads. Never forget that you have a home, and that home is in our hearts.

Got into Cornell and Berkeley!
(Took the rejection from Harvard and UC Hicago)
Still waiting on "Stanford" for its decision on Friday, but I'm almost certain it's going to be a rejection.
So yes, I am going to my Sorbune!

Hah! My sleep schedule is so messed up that I have no care for the cultural labels given to certain meals. Steak with pepper for breakfast! Cereal for dinner!

I just came here because I watched this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfejTEfMBtc
look at 19:47 through 20:12
disney's zootopia seems to be directly correlated to the plaintiff's copyrighted works.. even the fucking NAME
I watched the whole video and the similarities are striking. I'm sure disney lawyers will be able to fight against it, but the fact is this story is already gaining traction on social media.
I don't think it's as small you think it is.
In the end, I love the Disney Zootopia and hope there's a sequel, but I think its original creator needs to be compensated.
Well, damn, I guess I have to modify the mongoose nude pic a little.
The word of Random Number God is sacred.

Bit of a late submission for the TT, been working out a comic with Otterly. It's just the first page for now, I'm planning on doing the rest of the pages through the week. I'd love any thoughts as it goes on. <3

dialogue, character depictions/personalities, themes and morals, even shop titles.
there's quite a bit of similaritied that they directly copied from the guys works, but it needs to be determined whether or not it's enough to infringe, which in my opinion, kinda is.
the plaintiff contacted disney in both 2002 and 2009 to pitch the idea and is apparently on record for having sent them copies of the copyrighted work for review.
and just from my own knowledge, the creators of the film have said it took them several iterations over a course of 5 years or so which would line up with the 2009 visit from plaintiff and 2016 release of the film.

>Would you have Charlie as a girlfriend?
Charlie is just about my ideal partner with improvements I didn't even know I wanted. 100% yes.
>Would you have Marty as a boyfriend?
I'm trying to learn how to be a more laid back person, and I doubt Marty would be good for me.

I'm not anon. Just felt like getting it off of my chest, considering due to my timezone I seem to miss out of these threads happenings constantly like Weaver, Mead, Bore, Kam, the dozens upon dozens of fics I have saved. Its quite frustration to always come after the party.
I admit my post does look like I'm bitching which is not the message I intended to get across, and so I apologise to any CC or anons who mistook my post for someone attempting to rush art. As we all know, you either do it fast or do it right. I'll keep quiet for now.
Go on with the comfy folks

Hey, It's Oak from earlier. Been out for a few hours, tried to get another picture down. but my abilities have lessened this earlier this afternoon. I wish my abilities were consistent. Or even good.
Someone had requested a cheerful Charlie, so I doodled this up in less then an hour. perhaps I'll do better next time. It is a bit late.Sorry to whomever requested this.

Oh, wow, I didn't see this.
Happy you like it and, yes, I understand that it seems a little strange for Nick to say those things to Kris out of all mammals.
The only thing I can say in my defense it's that it was a situation of huge emotional distress and Kris was literally the only one available there. It was more a " in the heat of the moment" thing.
Thank you so much, it's extremely nice to receive some critique
